Sunday Funday! Dog Friendly Morning Hike at Mission Trails in San Diego, CA.
Name a better way to start the day than with a sunrise hike! (ok, ok, except for maybe family snuggles.) Sunday morning my mom’s gym friends were heading to Mission Trails for a 6 mile hike and lucky for me, I got to join! The trails are super dog friendly and I saw lots of other doggos joining in on some family fitness. There are several different trails with varied distances and difficulties so there is something for everyone. It was calm in the early morning and it wasn’t too hot. We did a loop with some rolling hills and at every peak we could see for miles. While the views might not be as stunning as Hawaii, that San Diego skyline is still beautiful.
Long story short, my tips to you for a successful hike at Mission Trails
Go Early (the calmness and beauty of the morning is magical)
Bring Water (once it starts getting into the day, it will heat up fast)
Stay on a Leash (unfortunately, but it is safer that way)
Explore all the different paths! (Definitely will be going back for more)
