My Journey to 2,000 Followers

From August 2018 until now, this is what I have learned along the way!

I remember it well, I was 4 months old living my best life on the island of Oahu. Mom & Dad took me on all the hikes, to all the beaches, and while relaxing at home I would choose between sleeping on the lanai and eating one of every pair of my roommates shoes. You could definitely say I was living the dream.

I talked to my Aunt Kimmy on FaceTime a lot, but I wasn't given the opportunity to meet her in person just yet. Every time we talked she told me how adorable I was and told me I needed to share my adventures with the world. One day in late August, she told me if I didn't create my own page, she was going to create one for me and that is how it all began.

August 29, 2018: "Let's start from the beginning". A little less than 2 years later, I have shared numerous dog friendly places, posted 267 times, created a blog with currently over 50 subscribers, and made a lot of new friends along the way. Here's what I have learned:

  1. There are A LOT of dogs and cats on Instagram! Who knew?!?

  2. For small businesses, a good Instagram page can lead to new customers.

  3. This world is becoming much more dog friendly.

  4. A dog birthday party is definitely a thing!

  5. Finding the perfect picture, matched with the best caption, and all the necessary hashtags takes more time than you would think.

  6. No matter how much you study it, the Instagram algorithm will remain a mystery.

  7. Some accounts will just be in it for the followers and will follow to unfollow.

  8. Every kind of pet accessory you can think of probably already exists in some form or another.

  9. There is so much world to explore, we need to take full advantage of the time we have.

  10. I am definitely still living my best life and I love sharing it with the world!

The world is a big place, but luckily we have social media to make it small. I've made so many cool friends across the country and even around the world! I hope that when this pandemic ends, I get a chance to meet some of them (you) in person on my travels. Keep exploring the world 1 adventure at a time!
